FA Youth Cup Tie At Mansfield Postponed

The game called off after a pitch inspection at Mansfield this morning found standing water on certain areas of the the pitch with more heavy rain forecast this afternoon for the Nottinghamshire area, the match now being rearranged for next Tuesday night, again with a 7pm kick-off.

The scheduled home reserves fixture against Blackpool next Wednesday afternoon now looks likely to be postponed as well due to the rearrangement of the tie. So even at this early stage of the season United are facing a potential fixture backlog in the spring if many more matches fall foul of the traditional British weather this winter.
