To a strong degree that will do though with the Cumbrians, from their 17 man squad, remarkably missing James Bonner, Dan Jones, Ben McKenna, Paddy O'Brien and Brad Potts through injury, while first choice goalkeeper Jon Ball was also absent. Stand-in stopper Joe Clements making a mistake as early as the 12th minute however when he allowed a Sean Breen long range effort to slide through his hands into the back of the United net.
Morecambe then doubling their lead six minutes later when Dan Parkinson half-volleyed an unstoppable strike from distance well beyond the reach of Clements. The Shrimps then missed a couple of chances to go further ahead before the Blues pulled a goal back on 39 minutes when Mark Beck nodded down in the box for Matt Osmond to lash home a shot into the Morecambe net.
A minute before the break and Carlisle were back level in the match when Beck managed to bundle the ball home after some good approach play by David Symington. After the interval United came flying out and hit the woodwork all of three times through Beck and Carr twice before Beck finally made it 3-2 with a well hit finish on 64 minutes to complete the Cumbrian comeback.
The home side weren't finished though and they made the final scoreline 3-3 late on when a cross in from the left by Joe Culshaw was headed into the back of the Carlisle net by Breen for his second goal of the game. So, United now carry on the search for their first win of the season with boss Eric Kinder no doubt desperate to get some of his injured players back in action.
