The United lads didn't let their heads drop though as they fought back to level matters before half-time. Gary Madine first netting from the penalty spot after Stephen Hindmarch had been fouled, Hindmarch then turning scorer for the second Carlisle goal with a shot from out wide that sneaked across the face of the Saddlers six-yard box before nestling in the far bottom corner of the net.
In an end-to-end second-half both sides searched for the winner but it was the Blues that finished a remarkable comeback when they claimed that winning goal with less than ten minutes left. Michael Dowson, Hindmarch and Madine all involved as Jonny Blake lashed home a loose ball from 12 yards out to give United all three points. Grant Carson played his part between the United sticks as well though with an all-important penalty save to preserve the victory.
