In a turnaround of form over the last couple of seasons, Blackpool continue to go strong at the top of the table after defeating Accrington 1-0 at home, that making it four wins out of four for the Seasiders so far this season. That match being just one of four games played in what was supposed to be a blank weekend, only for some teams to move fixtures forward from the winter months to avoid potential postponements.
Elsewhere in the division Bury are up to eighth after winning 3-2 at Oldham, while Burnley are now sixth and Rochdale fifth after the sides drew 2-2 at the home of the Clarets. Carlisle, after not drawing a league game in 33 matches, have now drawn three in a row, their latest all-square result being a 3-3 draw at Morecambe, with the United goals scored by Mark Beck (2) and Matt Osmond.
Next week the young Blues continue to look for their first win this season as they take on in-form Blackpool in an 11am kick-off on Saturday morning at Creighton Rugby Club. Accrington Stanley being the team taking a week off in the round of fixtures in a 17 team division that is without the now defunct Chester City.
