Just three games survived the weather this week with Bury v Oldham waterlogged off but there was still action at both ends of the table with Blackpool moving further clear at the top of the division after winning 6-2 at Accrington. The Seasiders taking advantage of Rochdale defeating Burnley 2-1 at home, a result that saw the 'Dale leapfrog the Clarets into second place in the table.
The other match played on Saturday was second bottom Carlisle picking up their first win of the season after winning 5-3 at home to third bottom Morecambe, with David Symington (4) and Mark Beck being the United goalscorers. Next weekend the young Blues have a morning off from league action with their next divisional encounter coming a week on Saturday when they make the tough trip to Blackpool.
