Only four games on this week but Burnley and Bury kept their winning runs going as both sides have now claimed three victories from three games played, Burnley top of the table on goal difference following a 4-3 home win over Blackpool while Bury are in second following their 2-1 home victory over Rochdale. Preston meanwhile now up to third despite only picking up a point with a 2-2 draw away to Oldham.
As for Carlisle, well it couldn't have gone much better as they thrashed Morecambe 7-1 at home, the United goals from an Alex Salmon hat-trick, Mark Beck, Patrick Brough, Dan Jones and a Shrimps own goal. Next week the lads have a Saturday off as the odd team in the division with their next match coming up on Saturday 10th September away to Tranmere Rovers.
