Just three games on in the division at the weekend but both Preston and Walsall were in action and they took advantage of that as they moved a few points clear in first and second place in the table respectively. North End defeating a struggling Blackpool side 3-2 at home while Walsall also won on their own turf, the Saddlers beating Macclesfield 2-0 and now being the only team left with a 100% record on the back of four wins from four.
It's Carlisle who then come next in the table, United moving up to third after picking up an excellent 3-1 win away to a previously second placed Tranmere Rovers, the goals for the young Blues being scored by Mark Beck, Dave Symington and Josh Todd. Next Saturday morning and it's back to Creighton Rugby Club for United, who are currently the top scoring team in the league, and an 11am home kick-off against a Blackpool side who have conceded the second most goals in the division, so goals aplenty? Let's wait and see shall we.
