Just one game survived the weather at the weekend, and somewhat unsurprisingly it resulted in Blackpool taking another hammering, the Seasiders, who have now conceded 48 goals in 16 league games, this week shipping five without reply at home to Rochdale. That result moving the 'Dale up to two places to eighth in the table, while Blackpool remain second bottom with just Morecambe below them in the division.
Next weekend it's mainly League Cup action with, in the northern section, Burnley, Rochdale and Stockport all left flying the flag in the area quarter-finals from Carlisle's division. As for United ourselves, well we are one of six sides in league action, the Blues scheduled to play a game that was postponed in the run up to Christmas, if the weather holds off this time though Carlisle will face Oldham in a 12noon kick-off at Creighton Rugby Club on Saturday lunchtime.
