With the wintry weather having taken hold for a while now there were only three games that managed to make it through this week, with all of them involving teams at the middle and the bottom of the table. The highest berthed of those sides, in sixth-placed Oldham, who beat Carlisle 1-0 at Creighton nine days ago, getting another three points on Saturday after defeating Stockport 3-2 at home.
Wrexham are now in tenth spot in the table meanwhile after Blackpool suffered their usual defeat, this time 4-1 at home against the Red Dragons. The other match taking place seeing Wigan win just their fourth league game out of 13 with a Friday afternoon 2-0 win on the road at Accrington Stanley.
Next weekend then sees six games across the division on Friday and Saturday, with Carlisle facing a massive challenge at league leaders Burnley. With the way the weather forecast looks at the moment though, it could be a blank weekend all round, with Stockport first however hoping to face Hull on Tuesday afternoon at home in the area quarter-finals of the League Cup, that match having already been postponed once.
