Burnley and Walsall still lead the way in the division, with their big crunch match against each other coming up next Saturday, after this weekend's fixtures. Burnley just nicking past Port Vale with a 1-0 victory at home, while Walsall fairly thrashed Oldham 6-0 on the road. Carlisle meanwhile, in fourth place, lost their away game last Monday afternoon as they went down 4-2 at Bury, the United goals being scored by Brad Potts and Josh Todd. Elsewhere on Monday Shrewsbury drawing 2-2 at home to Blackpool.
Back to Saturday though and Tranmere stay in fifth spot in the table after winning 2-0 at Morecambe, while Macclesfield also picked up three points away from home, with a 3-1 victory at Blackpool. The final two games played however producing two home wins as Rochdale defeated Wrexham 3-2 and Stockport beat Accrington Stanley 2-1.
