Saturday 1st March - Washington (County Durham) born James Wood, who was recently released by Middlesbrough and is described as a pacey right-back who can also play on the right-hand side of midfield, signs a two year YTS contract to start in July 2008
Friday 21st March - Liam Davison, who has spent time with Hartlepool, Leeds, Doncaster and most recently Newcastle, and is described as a centre-forward who can also play in midfield, signs a two year YTS contract to start in July 2008
Friday 21st March - Mark Gillespie, who again has most recently been with Newcastle, and is a goalkeeper, signs a two year YTS contract to start in July 2008
Friday 21st March - Adam Jukes, who has most recently been with Liverpool, while also having a trial spell at Blackburn, and is described as a strong aggressive centre-half, signs a two year YTS contract to start in July 2008
Wednesday 2nd April - Michael Hepplethwaite, an under-18s striker from the Newcastle area, who had a trial with Carlisle during January, now becomes a registered player until the end of the season
Wednesday 2nd April - Mark Smith, a 17-year old right-back, who was formerly with Hibernian and Glasgow Rangers, signs a one-year youth contract to start in July 2008, Smith not signing a YTS contract because he has already been through the "Skillseeker" system in Scotland
Friday 18th April - Mark Smith contract for next season cancelled by mutual consent
Friday 23rd May - Steven Swinglehurst, who has played for the youth team this season despite being an under-15s player, signs a two-year YTS contract to start in July 2009
