Leyton Orient 0-0 Carlisle- Report

Both Leyton Orient and Carlisle created plenty of chances although neither were able to break the deadlock in an entertaining goalless draw at Brisbane Road.

The first half was played at a high tempo with Orient dictating the opening 20 minutes before the visitors gradually settled and it was the Cumbrians that came closest to breaking the deadlock, only to be denied by Orient keeper Jamie Jones.

The Os shot-stopper, making his 100th senior appearance, pulled off a double save just before the interval when he palmed away a close-range header from Craig Curran and then scrambled across his line to thwart Francois Zoko from netting the rebound.

Carlisle continued in positive mode after the break with Liam Noble inches away with a superb 20-yard drive whilst James Berrett brought a full-length save from Jones before substitute Paddy Madden unleashed a pile-driver from 25 yards that thudded against the woodwork.

The introduction of Paul-Jose M'Poku on the hour provided the flair the Os needed and the Tottenham loanee provided two crosses in the final minutes to provide a chance for Adam Chambers, who stabbed the ball over the bar from 12 yards, before another cross saw Dean Cox head the ball over the bar from four yards out.
