An entertaining match saw Carlisle maintain their unbeaten run while Woking were at their resilient best.
Justin Richards' goal out of of the blue early in the second half gave Woking the lead but Carlisle struck back thanks to livewire striker Karl Hawley.
Goal-less at the break, United upped the temp after half -time and when Brendan McGill's cross caused havoc in the box, Peter Murphy had two attempts blocked as he tried to force the ball home.
The visitors were left to rue a number of missed chances when Woking took the lead against the run of play.
With Woking manager, Glenn Cockerill, screaming for a foul on Steve Ferguson, Richards ventured forward before letting fly with a speculative shot from 30 yards which whistled into the bottom corner past Matt Glennon's flailing right hand.
The lead was short -lived though as Woking defender Luke Oliver misjudged a Tom Cowan cross on the wind, allowing predator Karl Hawley to deservedly equalise from close range, despite the efforts of Cards keeper Adriano Basso.
Magno Vieira's brilliant effort from the edge of the box was met by an equally sublime piece of goalkeeping from Basso, the Brazilian diving full length to block a shot destined for the top left hand corner.
His opposite number Glennon then pulled off the save of the match, spreading himself to block Richards point blank volley after Raphael Nade had got to the by- line and crossed for the in-form striker.
Ian Selley blocked on the line from Carlisle substitute Craig Farrell as the action continued to ebb and flow right through to the final whistle.
It ended all square, United still finding their feet while playing some lovely football in a tough league while Woking proved they are still difficult to beat.
