Fancy a relaxing weekend in Dublin's fair city - home of Guinness, wonderful night life, Roddy Collins and John Courtenay? Then all you have to do is guess what United's AVERAGE LEAGUE ATTENDANCE figure will be for this season. It's pretty simple - guess what it will be and the NEAREST guess at the end of the season wins the big prize. The rules are as follows: Only league games apply Play-offs, cup-ties and any friendly fixtures etc. DO NOT count towards the final average There are 23 home league fixtures and entry CLOSES at midnight on Saturday August 31 - NO ENTRIES CAN BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE. There will be three home games before the closing date so you have a chance to gauge support before making your final prediction. However - ONLY ONE ENTRY IS ALLOWED PER PERSON. In the event of multiple entries, ONLY THE FIRST ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED. In the unlikely event of a tie, a tie-breaker question will be asked at the conclusion of the competition. Do you need some help? United's opening league attendance was 10,684 v Hartlepool United. The average league attendance last season was 3,204. The next two home games are against Bristol Rovers on Saturday August 24 and Exeter City a week later. Both these games are played before the entry period for the competition closes. Here's how to enter: Simply send an email to guessthegate@cufconline.org.uk with your full name and your guess. No pseudonyms are acceptable. A regular update on the progress of the competition will be provided on the site and on the CUFC Online message board. If you change your email address, please contact the above address with your new address. Winner will be notified via email on completion of the competition next May.
